Privacy Policy

Overview

Ródo is an iOS screen time awareness app, made by Apperitif. It uses Apple’s Screen Time framework to show your activity and to power optional Shields for apps you choose. This policy explains what information Ródo handles and how it is used. In short: Ródo keeps your data on your device and collects nothing that identifies you.

Information Ródo Processes

Ródo processes screen time activity made available by Apple’s Screen Time APIs, selected app/category tokens, app settings, theme choices, Shield rules, subscription status, and anonymous product analytics events.

What Ródo Does Not Collect

Ródo does not collect your name, email address, contacts, messages, photos, Safari browsing history, precise location, IDFA, or content inside other apps.

Analytics

Ródo uses PostHog to understand anonymous product usage, such as app opens, onboarding progress, picker selections, and Shield setup events. Analytics are not linked to a real-world identity and are used to improve the app. These anonymous events are retained for up to 12 months, in line with PostHog’s data retention policy, and are not kept longer than needed.

Subscriptions

Ródo offers paid subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. Purchases are processed by Apple, and Ródo uses RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements and free trials. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app identifier and purchase details from Apple to confirm what you have access to. It does not receive your name, email address, or Apple Account credentials, and payment is handled by Apple.

Service Providers

Ródo relies on a few providers to work: Apple, for the App Store and Screen Time, PostHog, for the anonymous analytics above, and RevenueCat, for subscription checks. They receive only the limited information described here, and they may process it on servers in other countries.

Storage and Deletion

Ródo keeps your data on your device. It has no account and does not sync your data to the cloud. The only information that leaves your device is the anonymous analytics above and the subscription checks handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Deleting Ródo removes the data stored on your device. Because the analytics are anonymous and not linked to you, they cannot be traced back to you to retrieve or delete individually.

Children

Ródo is meant for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and Ródo does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Ródo changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
